When days are credited back, where the money goes, which part of a top-up can return as crypto, and how to ask.

**Quick answer — Does Coffervale give refunds on storage VPS?**

In two defined cases, yes. When we cannot deliver a server, or it fails and support cannot get it running, the lost days are credited back to your balance, which never expires. Top-ups are not paid out unless the law requires it; the part paid only to reach the minimum top-up can be returned on request within 30 days of payment, in USDT or USDC, as long as it is unspent. Credited days land on your **Coffervale** balance, not in a wallet, and asking needs no ID: an email with your order reference is enough.

## 1. When are days credited back?

Exactly two situations bring days back to your balance:

- **The server cannot be built**, for instance because the city you picked takes no new servers by the time your payment is confirmed. No server is made, and every cent of its price remains on your balance.
- **The server stops working and support cannot repair it.** The days it was down return to your balance, each worth the price of the term divided by its days.

The table shows the rule on common cases.

| What happens | Result |
| --- | --- |
| You order Granite for 12 months at $90.30, and its city is full when your payment is confirmed | No server is created; $90.30 stays on your balance for another city or plan. |
| Your Clay server on a one-month term ($2.37) runs 10 days, then fails, and support cannot fix it | The 20 days it was down return to your balance: 20/30 of $2.37. |
| You delete a Shale server halfway through a 6-month term | No credit: deleting a server ends it with its remaining days. |
| Your server is suspended for breaking the acceptable use policy | No credit: a suspension for a breach is not a refund case. |
| Auto-renew is off, or the balance is too low, when a term ends | The server stops; its disk is held 7 days, then wiped. Nothing more is charged or credited. |

## 2. Where does a refund go?

Credited days go to your Coffervale balance, in US dollars, as soon as support confirms them. Credit on your balance does not expire and renews any of your VPS. When a top-up is only made to reach the minimum, the unspent part comes back on request within 30 days of payment, in USDT or USDC. The rest of a balance is not paid out unless the law requires it.

The balance pays for any plan and any rental length on the [pricing page](https://coffervale.com/pricing/ "Coffervale storage VPS plans and terms"), in any of the three cities.

## 3. Can any crypto come back from a top-up?

Top-ups are not paid out unless the law requires it, with one exception: the part added only to reach the $1 minimum. That part can return on request within 30 days of payment, in USDT or USDC, as long as it has not been spent.

The exception exists because of the minimum itself: when an order costs less than $1, the top-up is raised to the minimum and the difference sits on your balance. Today no plan costs that little: Silt, the smallest, is $1.77 for one month, so a top-up started from an order matches its price and has no such part.

| Your top-up | Returnable in USDT or USDC |
| --- | --- |
| $1.77 for a month of Silt, the smallest order | Nothing: even this order is above the $1 minimum, so the top-up equals its price. |
| $10.75 for a month of Granite | Nothing, for the same reason. |
| $201.01 for a year of Bedrock | Nothing: the order was above the minimum, so no part was added to reach it. |
| $1 or more with no plan in the order | Nothing: the whole amount is ordinary balance. |
| Any top-up, when you ask 45 days after paying | Nothing: the 30-day window has closed; the amount stays on your balance, which never expires. |

## 4. How do I ask?

By email, with no identity document.

1. **Write to support** — Send an email to support@coffervale.com with the subject "Refund request", from the address on your account if it has one.
2. **Point to the payment** — Give the order reference (ORD-…) and the transaction ID (TXID). Never your account number: Nobody from our team will ever ask for your account number, your root password or your private SSH key, by email or in a chat.
3. **Say what you want back** — For days of a failed server, its IP address and what went wrong. For the minimum top-up part, a USDT or USDC address and its network.
4. **Wait for the reply** — A person answers support emails within 12 hours, seven days a week, including help with SSH keys, reinstalls and firewall rules.

## 5. What is never refunded?

- Balance from top-ups, apart from the minimum top-up part of section 3, unless the law requires a payout.
- The remaining days of a server you delete.
- The remaining days of a server suspended for breaking the [acceptable use policy](https://coffervale.com/acceptable-use/ "What a Coffervale storage VPS may hold and run").
- Data on a server after its 7-day hold, or after a deletion or reinstall: We take no backup of your server and keep no copy of your data anywhere else, so what sits on a Coffervale storage VPS should be one of your copies, never the only one.
- Network fees you paid to send crypto.
- Money sent from a sanctioned address. Each incoming payment is screened against public sanctions lists of blockchain addresses, and money from a listed address is never credited; a Monero payment keeps its sending address out of view, so that screening has no address to check.
- Crypto sent on the wrong network or to the wrong address: a blockchain transfer cannot be reversed.

## 6. Chargebacks

A crypto payment is final once the network confirms it, so there is no chargeback. This policy is the only route to money back, and every request goes by email to support@coffervale.com. It forms part of the [terms of service](https://coffervale.com/terms/ "Coffervale terms of service").

## 7. Changes

We may update this policy; the date at the top shows the version in force, and a change applies to payments made after that date.
